THE WALL GALLERY Art show December January 2024
The Wall Gallery partnered with Lebeor to host the new student Art Exhibition in its gallery in Brooklyn.
MISSION
At Lebeor, we believe that learning art shapes more than just technical ability—it nurtures creativity, builds confidence, and inspires students throughout their lives. Since opening our first classes in 2001, we’ve been committed to helping students of all ages across New York discover their artistic potential.
Our curriculum is built on the idea that art is learned through hands-on practice. While every student brings their own creativity, many feel frustrated when they can't translate their imagination onto paper. That’s why we focus on developing core skills—like drawing, shading, and color theory—through a variety of mediums. By refining these techniques, students unlock the freedom to express their artistic vision without limitation.
Rooted in classical art principles but infused with modern approaches, our structured lessons offer both technical mastery and creative exploration. We group classes by grade level, beginning as early as first grade, and support students in building strong foundations. Whether preparing for middle school and high school tests or assembling competitive college portfolios, we ensure that each student is equipped to achieve their artistic goals.

Ages, Prices & Locations
What ages does Lebeor teach?
Lebeor teaches students in 1st through 10th grade. Classes are grouped by grade (1–3, 4–5, 6–7 and 8–10), so each child learns alongside peers at a similar level. We don't accept students younger than 1st grade.
How much do art classes cost?
Most in-person classes cost $176 for four one-hour classes. At our newer locations (Lower Manhattan, Fort Greene, Brighton Beach and Long Island City), classes are $40 each.
Where are your classes?
We teach at eight locations across New York City: Park Slope, South Brooklyn (Bensonhurst area), Midwood, Fort Greene, Brighton Beach, Forest Hills, Long Island City and Lower Manhattan. We also offer live online classes. See the schedule page for each location's address and class times.
Schedules & Enrollment
When are classes held?
Classes meet on weekday mornings after 10 AM, weekday afternoons and evenings after 4 PM, and on Sunday mornings from 10 AM. Exact days depend on the location and grade group.
Can my child join in the middle of the semester?
Yes. We accept students on a rolling basis all year. The Fall 2026 semester began on September 3.
Do you offer a trial class?
Yes, we offer trial classes. A trial class usually costs $44 for one hour. Fill out the contact form and a teacher will recommend the right class and set it up for you.
What supplies does my child need?
Each grade has a specific supply list. See the Supply List page for the exact items and links.
Learning & Test Prep
What will my child learn?
Students build classical drawing and painting skills, including sketching, shading, perspective, composition, proportions, color theory and still life, while learning to use many different art materials. Older students also work on independent projects and portfolios.
Do you help students get into art middle schools and high schools?
Yes. We prepare students for NYC middle school art tests such as Mark Twain and Bay Academy. We also build portfolios for art high schools, including LaGuardia, Art & Design, Murrow and Frank Sinatra. In 2026, students were accepted to all four of those high schools, and our 5th graders passed the Mark Twain and Bay Academy tests with scores of 93–95.
Who teaches the classes?
Classes are taught by artists and graduates of some of New York's most prestigious art schools. This includes our founder, Leon Belokon, who holds a master's degree from Pratt Institute and has taught art in New York for over 27 years.
